At the North Laurel Animal Hospital, we realize that the cost to keep your pet healthy isn’t always an easy one to bear. We attempt to mitigate expenses associated with keeping your pet well with Special Service Packages which are offered on a monthly basis, on certain days of the week or year round.

We are pleased to offer Dental Health Month during February and September. Dental Health Month entitles you to a 15% savings on dental prophylaxis and allows your pet to maintain a clean, healthy mouth. Unhealthy gums may lead to numerous health problems including tooth loss and decay, halitosis and the increased risk for systemic infections.

Spay/Neuter Month is a great chance to get your family’s new addition fixed and ensure their health. Spay/Neuter Month is offered during March and October and you will receive 15% off the cost of the procedure.
Spaying your pet provides numerous preventative health benefits including eliminating the possibility of uterine infections and drastically reducing the chances of your pet developing mammary cancer.
Additionally, neutering your pet will also provide many preventative health benefits including the decreased risks for testicular and prostate cancer.
Offerings: March and October
We have designed Senior Health Month as a comprehensive package to detect any abnormalities and catch problems in older animals before they become major issues. We suggest this package for most animals at seven years and at six years for giant breeds (Mastiffs, Great Danes, etc.). Signs of disease can go undetected and early diagnostic procedures may discover problems before they become more difficult or impossible to manage. The Senior Health Month package includes a Senior Wellness Exam, Senior x-ray protocol (4 x-rays), a Senior profile (diagnostic blood work), blood pressure reading and a PetRay’s X-ray Consultation with a board certified radiologist.

Additionally, the Cardiac, Senior and Arthritic Health Packages will be entitled to a 10% discount on Wednesdays and Thursdays and a 15% discount during their special promotional months (discounts may not be combined). We hope that by packaging up these deals and offering them at seasonally discounted rates, we may further entice you to take preventative action to ensure a high quality of life for your pet and while easing the cost of doing so. We recommend this package for dogs who have had a history of heart murmurs and all cats over the age of five (males are more predisposed to cardiac disease). We may detect early changes in the heart and associated structures with radiographs of the heart and lungs along with ECG and blood pressure readings. These preventive measures will allow us to more effectively treat any abnormalities before they become life threatening ailments.
Offerings: January and August. Every Wednesday and Thursday
Arthritic Health Month will take place during May and December. We have designed this package for pets which are over one year old, have incurred a previous injury, who may be lame/painful, have difficulty rising from defecation or any combination of the previously mentioned symptoms. The Arthritic Health Package shall include an arthritic x-ray protocol (3 x-rays), minor blood work, an orthopedic exam, PetRay’s x-ray consultation, Dasuquin joint supplement and a complimentary laser treatment session. Arthritis is very painful to your pet but may be simply managed with laser treatments and joint supplements. Pouncing on arthritis early is critical to ensuring a high quality of life for your pet.

We all know of the costs associated with getting a new puppy or kitten. First you actually have to buy your new pet, then get all of its exams, vaccinations, flea and tick preventative, food and the list goes on. We attempted to minimize some of these costs by introducing the Puppy/Kitten Packages.
Each Puppy/Kitten package is structured to include three hospital visits in which all exams, necessary vaccines and de-worming will be completed. To complete all the necessary items included in these packages, it would normally cost you over $400 and $300 respectively. However, these packages are paid in full at the time of purchase and by doing so, we have been able to discount the total price of the package items by 10% saving you over $40 on each.
Additionally, purchasing a package will entitle you to 10% off of your pet’s spay/neuter when they reach the appropriate age (cannot be combined with Spay/Neuter Month discount)

Often times, the doctors will make a recommendation for a particular procedure and the owner must calculate the costs involved before committing to the procedure. Generally, this must be done at home after the office visit and as we all know, life takes over and the procedure is easily forgotten.
To help ease you in making a health decision, when the doctor recommends your pet undergo a procedure, you will receive an 8% discount when you book the appointment immediately following the recommendation. This offer applies to spay/neuter, dental, cardiac, senior and arthritic packages (cannot be combined with any other offers).

Client Referral Program The best compliment we can possibly receive is a referral from a current client. To us, this means that we have provided you and your pet with excellent care and client service. This also means that you enjoyed the overall experience. This is perhaps the most important part as bringing your pet to the doctor (just like with any family member) can be a daunting experience. In such occasions that you relay kind words to your friends on our behalf, and they subsequently become clients, we are happy to pass along a $10 credit towards your next bill. It’s simply our way of saying thank you!
