The North Laurel Animal Hospital is happy to accommodate your prescription needs. We have an onsite pharmacy and are able to fill most prescription medications. Some prescriptions require that your pet have an exam by one of our doctors within a month of your request or filling. For clarification on your specific case, please consult your attending doctor.
Due to Maryland state law, we are unable to fill prescriptions coming from another doctor or animal hospital. In order for us to accommodate you, we must examine and prescribe the necessary medications.
For prescription medications we do not stock in our hospital, we recommend VetStoreRx. We work in partnership with VetStoreRx to help you with your prescription medication needs. VetStoreRx is able to fill your prescription then mail it to you, eliminating the inconvenience of having to make a trip to the pharmacy. When our doctors prescribe a medicine for your animal, we then enter it into the VetStoreRx system, and you may retrieve it, pay for it and have it sent to you.
For more immediate medical prescriptions, we recommend having them filled at our pharmacy or at your local neighborhood pharmacy.
