March for the Animals

The Maryland SPCA is holding a 1.5 mile walk-a-thon and festival to benefit the animals on Sunday, April 27th from 10am-2pm; Druid Hill Park. They will have contests, demonstrations, food, fun and adoptable dogs!

 

Baltimore Humane Society

The Baltimore Humane Society in Reisterstown, MD is having an Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday from 12-3pm. Go to www.bmorehumane.org for more details!

Swim into summer with this new spa package for May! Your pet will be bathed in a "Sweet Pea" fragrance spa shampoo that truly smells of spring! They will also go home with a plush fish toy and yogurt topped granola dog cookie! Hardly resistable to any of our furry friends! This spa package is an additional $10.

Just a friendly reminder that if your pet comes in for grooming services, they must be up to date on all vaccines. If we haven't seen your pet in over two months, an exam will also be required. For clients to our practice, you may supply us with a vaccine certificate from anothe veterinary provider that verifies all vaccines are up to date. Our hospital requires the following:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper
  • Bordetella
  • Leptospirosis
  • Negative Fecal Sample

Nexguard

 

Would you be Interested in an Oral Flea/Tick Preventative for your pet?

Merial, maker of Heartgard heartworm preventative, has launched a new flea/tick preventative for dogs called NexGard. This is FDA approved to kill fleas, prevent flea infestations and kill the American dog tick. It is given monthly and is a soft beef flavored chewable.

This product is highly recommended for households with small children or cats because there is no messy application....only a delicious beefy taste! If you are interested, please contact our office and speak with either Dr. Cohn or Dr. Covert.

 

 

 

Cryopen

 

 

 

 

 

Check Out Our New Cryopen!!!!

It can be used to remove small growths, cysts, eyelid tumors without general anesthesia . It is non painful and an be done during an office visit. Most lesions require 1 treatment, larger lesion may sometimes require a second treatment. The cryosurgery procedure is a far less costly way of dealing with multiple smaller masses without having to subject your pet to anesthesia, a day in the hospital.
